Agorise, Ltd.
Hi, this is Ken Code (@kenCode is my non-business stuff) and I'm the Lead Developer (since 2013) at Agorise, Ltd. of Cyprus. Agorise (http://agorise.chat) is a distributed team of sysadmins, developers and designers located across 7 countries. I have over 30 years experience in software dev and over 10 years experience in the blockchain space. I am a husband, father, coder, free-energy tinkerer, electro-culture gardener, kung fu practitioner, disc-golfer, skydiver, hiker, cyclist, U.S. Navy shellback and veteran.

My first apps (in the military) were written in DOS and dBase 4, menuing and tracking apps for CVIC and the ship’s photo lab. I got my honorable discharge after 5 years, then got a job at a custom pc build house playing with dip switches and jumper settings in 1993. I invented the world’s first online shopping cart (still used today by over 64,000 websites), started and ran a very successful software company for years to come.

I started building and releasing my first blockchain apps onto the Bitshares blockchain in 2014. Mobile wallets and a blockchain-agnostic Point of Sale system. They voted me in to their original 101 as a paid Bitshares Delegate and a year later voted me in to the Bitshares Committee as a Lead Dev and Advisor. Bitshares is an amazing blockchain (especially their DEX), but it became subject to an ever growing oligarchy. Next, I built on top of and learned a bunch on the Steem blockchain, then moved to Hive blockchain development right after their fork. Now, I have decided to start building for Blurt.

Some of the FOSS products my team and I have built over the past decade, avail on our forgejo git and google play:

  • GrapheneJ - The first Java library for Bitshares
  • Smartcoins Wallet - The very first Bitshares mobile wallet
  • Stealth BIPs and Security upgrades to Bitshares Blinded Transactions
  • C-IPFS - The first implementation of IPFS in C (I was trying to make IPFS more lightweight/faster so that it could be used on mobile devices (this is before “dapps” really became a thing)).
  • Crystal Wallet (the second Bitshares mobile wallet. was aka “Carbon”)
  • Morphit (.io) - An attempt to make coin bridges KYC-free and unlimited, but swapspace.co beat me to it and had a huge marketing budget so we stopped investing in this.
  • BiTSy wallet (info: bitsy-wallet.com) - The third Bitshares mobile wallet, a grandma-friendly ui of course, and still on google play.
  • PalmPay WHMCS - Our point of sale software, integrated with Web Host billing systems.
  • PalmPay Woo - Our blockchain-agnostic point of sale software, integrated with Woocommerce
  • PalmPay (.io) - A simple android app that uses the Bitshares DEX and enables merchants to accept HIVE and HBD, BTS, BTC, BCH, DASH DOGE, XMR, ETH, LTC and other coins from one simple minimalist ui. Customer Loyalty Points, detailed eReceipts, transaction search, filtering and exporting, multi-lingual, multi-currency, 3sec transactions, zero fees, everything merchants have asked for.
  • Hive-Press - A plugin for Wordpress and Beaver Builder. Wordpress blogs now have upvote, downvote, tipping and commenting tools that you’ve come to expect. Still awaiting wordpress approval for this plugin.
  • HiveCast (.app) - 70% done, but paused due to Hive-Tube priorities.
  • Hive-Tube (.com) - A plugin for peertube streaming media servers which syndicates, network aggregates, and monetizes streaming media via distributed protocols, infrastructure and blockchains.
Rebranded to Peerhub due to the product going multi-chain.
  • Peerhub - Putting Blurt front-and-center into it as we speak. Expect the MVP by November, but of course it will be announced right here on our Blurt blog and https://Peerhub.app so please Follow our work!

In addition to dev projects, we also have a hosting division at https://Agori.host so check it out. We (@agorise-witness) will be running a Witness node for Blurt soon, so please help us to help the chain with our unstoppable hardware :)

Well, that's enough for this intro. Please Follow our work here on Blurt, I know we can bring quite a lot here in a very short amount of time, but of course we need your help to spread the word and share it!

Thank You! :)

I note the "free-energy tinkerer." Given what I know about one such technology pulled into black projects, and what I know about money, being a Foundational Economist, I was wondering if You have had successes, and if You grasp why the psychopaths in control on Our planet keep it very well hidden.

My work is primarily to show what We can co-create when We get free energy tech out of Their grips...

I hope to hear Your thoughts!

I'll be writing about my research findings and other scientific, political and other views on my personal blog @kenCode

🙏💜🙏 Looking forward. I do hope You explore My short articles. Love always!

Your hired. You're already over qualified.

I don't do hirings btw.

I see you quit because of an oligarchy forming, what do you think about the current oligarchy in hive and blurt?

Hive is absolutely 100% an oligarchy, that is not even a question anymore imo.

If literally a few guys don't vote for your proposal, it will never get funded, period. I've gotten hundreds of people from the community to support my work over there, but due to my scientific and political views, the whales would never vote for me.

I refuse to lick boot.

Peerhub kicks youtube and spotify butt in every way. No more walled gardens. People just need to start using it now. Especially once Blurt integration is finished this month.

It’s not even a “few” guys making all the decisions. It’s one guy telling everyone what to do. It’s a Dictatorship. Pretending to be a HiveMind (collective thought) but literally just one very angry guy telling every other whale what to do.

In terms of governance, Blurt is the most decentralized blockchain of all three graphene blockchains. Perhaps it is the most decentralized blockchain in the world. Take a look at coingecko and read about these blockchains. Almost everywhere there is one big founder who has a controlling stake and is able to make changes without asking anyone. On Blurt this is not possible, we have two groups of witnesses, one group without the other is not able to push through any change

Blurt is the Absolute best most Decentralized Platform on Planet Earth … There are 2 very large Whale Groups keeping everything in Balance …

There are also 3 or 4 new growing Whales who are quickly buying up all the Blurt on Probit and Hive-Engine. …

We will need another Exchange soon. Hive is controlled by one guy. Yes, the Markymark and his minions … Blocktrades, solominer, gogreenbuddy and a few others.

Have you noticed that since the decentralization of Blurt became a fact the wars between whales have died? Wars don't lead to anything good. Today both groups of witnesses understand that they have to cooperate. A good example of this was @megadrive's post about communities hardfork. All witnesses agreed that it was a good idea and we got it. If megadrive had presented a bad idea then there would have been no agreement

Since whales have settled their difference. Can we test the whale experiment again as was done on steemit years back? Basically, most whales stopped voting for a month and the pool was so replenished, that the small crabs at the bottom of the bucket got better curation rewards almost immediately.

If this comes to be true, and if it's significant change overall, maybe we can try a two day a month of no whale accounts voting at all. Or something.

this must have happened in the early days of Steem when there were only a few whales, now such an agreement is impossible neither on Steem nor on Hive nor on Blurt

We can ask all whales if they are down for a 2 week experiment?

Do wehave the adequate tools to measure all the results?

  ·  13 days ago  ·   (edited)

Yes… it’s always good to have 2 or 3 Parties to keep things Balanced… we currently have @ctime vs @blurtbooster … but it would be good to have 2 or 3 more very large Whale pods ….

Maybe each group has +/- 100 Million Blurt Power …

Whale Voting Blocks through Delegation ….

It’s sort of like that already …

@ctime = 100 Million Blurt Power (Large Blurt Investors)
@blurtbooster = 100 Million Blurt Power (Blurt Developers)
@upvu = 100 Million Blurt Power (Small Blurt Investors)

200 Million Blurt Power for the rest of us Pleb miners (small Blurt Investors and Bloggers)

I will admit right here that at one point I even said publicly "fuck hive". I said it in their mattermost chatroom. I said it out of frustration with the hive whales and the way those of us with different views (esp in science and politics) are treated over there.

I poured so much love and money into hive promoting it, building stuff onto it, but its quite literally become a dead horse. It's provably dying. Plenty of nice apps over there too including liketu, dbuzz, ecency and so on, but those downvotes are a killer for most people.

The downvotes (but you can beg for forgiveness in their discord) literally chase away new users and make you feel like you're walkin on eggshells. It's not right, and it feels well, toxic.

Just as bad is their thing with "reputation scores". It creates boot lickers. Upvote the guy with the higher rep and you might get a higher rep and more free stuff.. socialism at its finest. Say anything they don't like and they will completely remove your income and destroy your rep too. Literally ONE whale can do that to you even though hundreds of people upvoted your work.

FEAR is the name of the game over there.

I have tried my best to find common ground with the whales on numerous occasions, but I feel like they are very two-faced. They smile and tell you what great work you do blah blah but do they vote for your proposal? Nope. I asked for VERY little from hive, but one of the top 3 whales HAS to vote for your proposal if you ever want it approved. Hundreds of people publicly supported my proposals (just 2 or 3 at most) too, but the few guys at the top don't care about that. That's sayin somethin too, cuz I damn sure suck at marketing.

I have offered to take over their dbuzz project since both of the founders are no longer interested in it as I think that could be a really solid product and I personally like it too. Both founders have stated publicly that they want me to take it over. I'll probably at some point put a nice micro-blogging front-end onto Blurt as well since this chain does not have the downvotes, rep score and all that crap. Let the two compete and see which comes out on top. That's the #1 benefit of competition. I pour my heart into every product I release, since 1993 in fact (just ask Amazon).

I am not tribalistic in my views either (just look at the chain-agnostic products that I release). I think that when chains start working with each other, competing and each serving its utilitarian role, we as a species can move forward. Right now, the "one chain to rule them all" bs is just that. BS. That will never work. Yin yang is where we will find harmony.

I'm workin on integrating Blurt into our Peerhub streaming software as we speak. Blurt will be the default, front-and-center. Release is just a couple weeks away now. Multi-chain, P2P, aggregated and threaded, ie:
Peerhub.app

Aaaaanyway... "Go where you're treated best." - One of my favorite mottos from a well known youtuber. I'm glad I found this place. #helloblurt

I had exactly the same. I wasn't acting as a developer or a witness at the time, but I devoted a lot of time and resources to promoting and supporting hive.

It started when I wrote my critical opinion about downvoting, showing how destructive it is to the development of hive, and I used exactly the same words as you:
that one person with high HP is able to decide about your earnings for 200 of your other readers. I coined a slogan that hive is a place where your earnings are decided not by those who support you, but by those who hate you.

And of course it all started with that post. Of course they couldn't find a direct pretext for downvoting me because I wasn't emotional and I didn't call anyone names, nor was there anything to accuse me of in any of my content, so they came up with the idea of downvoting me because someone who uses @tip "abuses it" and is on the "blacklist", so of course the entire value of my posts was deleted for that reason. I was hyping myself up but it was just a waste of time. They supposedly "equalized" the downvote value to the tip value but then the next post was the same again and so on and so forth.

At that time I found out about Blurt so first I put one nofa here and then when I realized it I completely abandoned Hive in favor of Blurt and that was my best decision ;)

That ease that you can publish whatever you want and you don't have to behave like you're walking through a minefield. And your earnings are decided by the people who support you. That's the reason I became a witness here and for years I've also been expanding my programming skills to develop something here and promote Blurt.

I've always said that Hive would be a solution that could have been adopted on a large scale a long time ago if there were no downvotes. Blurt is the answer to that.

Youll find that "Overprinting" is the main concern over here. but they removed the Pegged Token Scam and forfeited the DV entirely... Leaving a better opening for further Development.

Hey there, welcome to Blurt, such as it is! There are a few of us holding some tokens, mostly having been purchased at about 10 times their current value. We have watched most of the former community fade away and disappear. There is very little change or development going on that I'm aware of. There are some pros to mention, like the drama that plagued us last year being less prevalent lately. And there are a handful of solid content-creators amongst the thousands of reward farmers. So we hold out a form of hope that things will improve, with our eye on the coming bull market for alt-coins. Following you here : )

Thanx drutter :) Like @mariuszkarowski said, Blurt could quite possibly be the most decentralised chain in the world now. I see it too and have to agree at this point. Karma will take out the plague you mentioned, I have no doubt. They call me #tinfoilken but on the flip-side I like to focus on the positive things that it has goin for it. I can build on that, and am already (which you'll see this month in our next Peerhub release).

As of this moment, the top cryptos are actually poised to drop. If $BLURT was easier to buy (like from gate.io, poloniex, etc) I would consider buying quite a large sum. I build on chains that actually hold my personal preferences of utility and actual decentralisation. Blurt seems to offer that and a hell of a lot more.

Adding Blurt to Peerhub is a huge undertaking, but it's progressing nicely. I hope to make this a big month for Blurt with the release in a couple weeks.
