Great! :) you caught two errors. I forgot to add a limit for permlink characters because it can have a maximum of 128 and a minimum of 3. and title 256
permlink is a part of your post address that is generated randomly to avoid situations where two of the same posts overlap.
for example this article has this generated part here:
blurt.blog/blog/@khrom/ 5pqf1r -wp-blurt-publisher-plugin-for-wp-to-automatically-publishing-your-wordpress-posts-on-blurt
I encourage you to try version 1.1.9
I hope it will be ok now. I am surprised that I have already published so many test posts and everything and I did not catch these errors.
You must be lucky when it comes to catching errors :D if there are new features for the plugin I will contact you ;)
Would it be possible for the plugin to strip the url out of an oembed and replace the oembed with just the url?
I had to replace the oembed on Blurt with just the url of the video for it to work.
Yes, I will work on it so that the plugin converts all html to markdown. I haven't done it yet because I wanted to get the basic functionality down first. It is also known that if you don't work as a team, there will always be a lot of fixes when people start using your plugin ;) You know, I had to pull all strings at home to work to finish the plugin, so now I just have to catch up with work and family before I start improving plugin.
Projects never feel like they are "done" do they?, Lol.
I will continue to give you all the feedback I can. I like this plugin.
I do have some improvement ideas but Im not a developer so I dont know if its even possible.
thanks a lot.
Generally most things are possible but not everything has a reasonable balance of time expenditure to effect. I would gladly accept suggestions.
Awesome. I see you are in the Matrix room. It will be easier to talk in there about the plugin anytime.
I found another one.
The plugin sends an oembed for the videos which work fine here on BeBlurt. But they are broken on blurt.blog.
Lol. Devs either love me or hate me.
I tend to drive them nuits sometimes. But its only because I love the software they are making.
And 1.1.9 was the magic number! It worked!
AND THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
