Plusnet Broadband: Why the Renewal Price for 12/18 Months is Cheaper for 24 Months

I am about to renew my home broadband plusnet (Input my username doctorlai to get bigger discounts), and I see the renewal price for 24 months is 28.49 GBP per month, while for 12 months is 25.50 and for 18 months, it is 24.99 GBP per month.

This is a bit strange - as I thought, a longer commitment should give bigger discounts.

I also see that every March, there is a 3 GBP increase in monthly payment.
