I don't celebrate a lot of things, I look at my mirror sometimes and think you have to be better smarter, louder, land those punchlines harder get more popular, more original, more relevant, stay significant.
I fancy my own errors equivalent to how successful I will get and dedicate every hour of every day to be one step ahead.
I don't celebrate a lot of things and most times i forget to just pause and think of the little things, try to appreciate the progress that I've made, remind myself that it's okay to take a break make a mistake. An empire can't be built in a day it's so easy to get lost in aspirations and drown in our own expectations, we don't remember where we started from when scribbles in lecture notes became headlines and maybes became challenges hashtag.
Our dreams don't let us sleep, we were running a marathon at full speed yet I can't seem to reach the finish line, I don't celebrate a lot of things because I don't think that I deserve it and if I try to stop people will see that I'm not worth it that i don't know if i'll ever make it to the top.
So maybe just this once we won't ask to be more we'll celebrate everything, we were before I'll raise glass to my friends and my family here's to celebrating every little thing that makes me to the memories of years before today we'll add one more so here's to number 24.
