【GCN】Miami to deploy air-quality monitoring on Algorand blockchain
PlanetWatch, a green technology company, is building an Internet of Things network of air-quality in Miami that will store data on the Algorand blockchain.
This blockchain consensus mechanism uses validators, rather than energy-hungry miners, to verify and record data.
The data stored in the blockchain becomes a global, persistent, and forgery-proof air quality ledger.
This sensor data can then be used to help detect pollution points for analyzing Miami's air quality.
