Blockchain With IoT: How To Protect Intellectual Property

in blockchain •  4 years ago

Blockchain technology can shake up the world of intellectual property with relatively low maintenance costs, increased transparency, reduced administrative overhead, and fraud resistance.

In order for blockchain technology to become popular in intellectual property design and copyright management, an internationally agreed and supported set of standards is required that is controlled by an authorized and trusted third party such as an intellectual property bureau or collective administrative organization.

Alternatively, a system could be developed whereby copyright holders can also become account holders. This means that Registery not only records rights, but transfers them at the same time with a dedicated digital ledger, turning into a huge blockchain-based copyright management system. That will be valuable, scalable and secure.
