Bitcoin may not have the Uptober that many expect...

October is a great month for bitcoin right?! Maybe...

Everywhere you look people are talking about October being a good month for bitcoin...

However, that's not always the case.

Every 4 years we see bitcoin have a negative return in the month of October... and guess what month this one is?

The reason for this is where it is in the halving cycle.

The halvings happen every 4 years and roughly 2 years after the halving, the price tanks.

We are two years post halving right now, which is what 2018 and 2014 were as well.

Given that backdrop, we should actually expect October to be a negative month as well, contrary to optimism surrounding "Uptober".
