A new survey from one of the worldâs leading financial advisory firms, Devere Group, advising over $10 billion in client capital, claims that two-thirds of its millennial customers prefer Bitcoin over precious metals (gold, silver etc) as the ideal safe haven asset. Gold fund flows are pouring into crypto, with wide ROI margin. Israelâs Bank Hapoalim Joins Blockchain Firm To Manage Bank Guarantees
One of Israelâs largest banks, Bank Hapoalim, has joined a blockchain-based platform recently released by IT firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). TCS, built on the Quartz blockchain targets the digital banking industry in Israel. The new tool will help banks manage bank guarantees (debts, loans etc.) more effectively. Chainlink And World Economic Forum Proposed Decentralized Oracle Networks
The World Economic Forum and Chainlink, proposed an open-source standard for connecting data sources to blockchain smart contracts. The paper by Sergey Nazarov, the co-founder of Chainlink, and Punit Shukla, the blockchain project lead for the WEF, outlines an open-source framework to help non-blockchain systems talk to smart contracts. MassMutual Invests $100 Million In Bitcoin
Life insurance giant is the latest firm to buy bitcoin. Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. bought $100 million of Bitcoin for its general investment account. The buy was facilitated by the financial services company NYDIG, which specializes in managing Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Singaporeâs Largest Bank DBS Sets Up Crypto Exchange Platform
DBS, Singaporeâs largest bank, is establishing a new cryptocurrency exchange division called DBS Digital Exchange. The crypto exchange will only be accessible to institutional investors who will be able to trade Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and XRP. DBS Digital Exchange will provide a platform for tokenizing assets such as shares, bonds and private equity funds. Grayscale Buys $266 Million of Bitcoin and $58 Million of ETH
According to financial reports, Crypto asset manager Grayscale bought an additional 14,591 Bitcoin ($266 million currently) and 105,000 Ethereum ($58,5 million) on behalf of its investors. According to Grayscaleâs tweet, the company currently has $12.1 billion worth of crypto assets under its management. JPMorgan Just Conducted A Blockchain-based Repo Transaction Using Its JPMCoin
JPMorgan announced that it executed a blockchain-based repo transaction, leveraging its JPMCoin, two months after unveiling a rebrand of its blockchain unit â now called Onyx â stablecoin-like product had gone into production. The bank plans to make its product available to other counter-parties in the future. Mathew McDermott, Global Head of Digital Assets at Goldman Sachs said this is where enterprise Blockchain can address real world problem as they look forward to early 2021 release.
