This weeks challenge will be a bit different. Before I explain it, I wish to give thanks to the several who participated in last weeks challenge. The participation level has humbled me, and I thank everyone who took part. I’m also at this point giving an extension to participate in last weeks challenge to blessed-girl. She expressed a desire to participate and that she would seek to find time this weekend.
Here are the entries from last week.

There is still time to go read their posts and cast upvotes on them, although for some the time is running down quickly. There were several fine members highlighted in these posts, well worth a read for quality discovery.
So with a special thanks for all who participated, we can now move on to the next challenge. I apologize as I do recognize not all of my challenges might be appealing to everyone each week. I have a few ideas in mind, and settled on this topic for the next one.
As those of you who have read me for any length of time know, I’m fascinated with perception. Both its role in our choices, and by extension how easily it can be manipulated by outside influences. When one begins a deep dive into the elusive topic of free will, perception is the wall one encounters that has produced a sobering affect on how little we know. And by default, how little free will can be attained.
While those I call the perception masters do a pretty good job of masking this mysterious, powerful world around us with definitions that pretend to explain the unexplainable, there is no denying that we all have had experiences for which their illusionary definitions just don’t hold up with any real examination.
Believing that super-natural events have been experienced more commonly than we know, I’m curious to hear of your such experiences. There is a stigma attached by those considered “knowing” on such discussions, due in large part to how quickly it would crack their pretensions of expertise. They fear any loss in power such admission would cause to their controlled structures. A structure so easily bypassed by those who are unafraid of admitting ignorance, even embracing it to explore the totality of oneself. An area they discourage being explored, discourage by training folks to think these acknowledgments make one crazy in the eyes of ones peers.
So with that said, here are the rules.
A sharing of an experience you had that defied all logical examination.
This sharing can be paranormal, an event one witnessed, a knowing one had before an event took place. There are many ways this can be experienced, those are just a few examples to give you an idea.
I Will Only Guarantee The First FIVE qualifying Posts Linked Here In The Comments Will Receive A Full Upvote From Me.
I'll Also Be Upvoting Great Comments On These Posts. If The Comment Is Such Quality It Could Be A Post Itself, Don't Be Surprised If It Also Receives A Full Upvote By Me. So Don't Be Discouraged I Can Only Pick The First Five Qualifying Posts.
The Tag beingsocial Needs To Be Used. Hopefully It Will Make The Posts More Easily Findable For Others.
Copy pasting from other sources defeats the intent of this challenge. That will result in a disqualification.
I can for whatever reason decide your post doesn't qualify. However, I don't foresee this happening.
Please just try to have fun with this. Don’t allow fear of any stigma normally associated with such revelations deter you. It is through exploration we make self discoveries, and shame on those who would deter you from such knowledge.
My Supernatural Experience.
I have many I could share, but this one was always the most intense experience due to its frightening nature.
A little backdrop for context. I grew up at my main childhood residence near woods. I could access these woods by walking down railroad tracks that ran behind my house.
I spent untold hours there from an early age, sneaking down to them very young. I preferred the company of those woods to that of the other children in the neighborhood. I so often snuck out of my house at night to wander those woods.
So now onto what happened.
I was fifteen at the time. It was really late, after midnight. I had snuck out and was down there. Deciding to go home and listen to a new record I had bought, I began making my way home by the tracks. As I was walking, I began hearing the sound of sticks breaking, as though one were walking on them. I stopped to listen, and the sound stopped.
Relieved, I began walking again. Only to be dismayed as the sounds of sticks breaking as though they were being walked upon began again. Of to my side, as though someone were walking to stay with me. What frightened me, as I knew those woods like the back of my hand from years of being there, even in the dark? The brush and sticker bushes were so thick NO ONE could be walking where the sound was coming from.
I began running home, frightened badly. My fear accelerating as the sound of someone beside me in that brush quickened as well to continue keeping pace with me.
I made it home, safe behind locked doors in the safety of my possessions and light of the house.
Eager to put the experience behind me, I got my record out, put my headphones on and turned my light off to enjoy the music.
To my horror, almost immediately I felt a presence with me. A thick presence full of hatred. I was beside myself in fear as I turned my light back on. I could feel not only hared, but intelligence. It was as if I was feeling it with a sense not associated with the 5 we are taught we have.
Grabbing my bible my grandmother had given me, I left my room and began reading from it in the living room, alternating prayers with the reading. The presence didn’t follow me to the living room, and after some time I was calm enough to return to my room. Displaying badly how I had hooked myself onto the false system of all is knowable, I pushed what had happened away from me. Out of sight out of mind, a training we have all been coerced to embrace.
Putting my record back on, I turned my light off to finally get to enjoy that record. As soon as the light was off, I felt that presence immediately again. Something about its energy making me wish to run, as it felt so ill to me.
Grabbing my bible I went back to the living room. Where I stayed reading until I fell asleep.
I never did encounter whatever that presence was again to my knowledge. But there is no denying something followed me. Something that wanted me to know it was there, and know of its hatred of me.
And that is the story I choose to share with you today. A story of a day I was faced with something super-natural. Something that reminded me the world around me is mysterious, the descriptions given to me about it sorely lacking when one encounters a force that has been ignored by omission from those who would be the expert. I felt very small that day, small due to my facing an unknown that was never handed to me as something that could be real. Something that the experts would say was all in my mind. But there was no denying those branches breaking, no denying the continuance of experience as I could feel it somehow on an energetic level, its charge sickening to me.
I look forward to any experiences you might wish to share with us. As I mentioned, I’ll be curious to see if any choose to participate this week. Most are trained to shy away from sharing experiences others would demand could only come from one who is crazy. So I’ll take no offense if this is a hurdle you choose not to cross. I’ll also applaud your strength if you choose to cross it with us.
Lyrics to Fear Of The Dark
I am a man who walks alone
And when I'm walking a dark road
At night or strolling through the park
When the light begins to change
I sometimes feel a little strange
A little anxious when it's dark
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that something's always near
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someone's always there
Have you run your fingers down the wall
And have you felt your neck skin crawl
When you're searching for the light?
Sometimes when you're scared to take a look
At the corner of the room
You've sensed that something's watching you
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that something's always near
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
Have a phobia that someone's always there
Have you ever been alone at night
Thought you heard footsteps behind
And turned around and no one's there?
And as you quicken up your pace
You find it hard to look again
Because you're sure there's someone there
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that something's always near
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
have a phobia that someone's always there
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
Watching horror films the night before
Debating witches and folklore
The unknown troubles on your mind
Maybe your mind is playing tricks
You sense and suddenly eyes fix
On dancing shadows from behind
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that something's always near
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
Have a phobia that someone's always there
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that something's always near
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
Have a phobia that someone's always there
When I'm walking a dark road
I am a man who walks alone
A different kind of expert:
Thank you. I'll watch this tomorrow. I need to go lay down and get a quick nap in before work. I should have been down an hour ago :) I appreciate the reblurt as well.
reblurted! (although I often feel reblogs are best done after 1 or 2 days to catch those who missed it - never mind)
Uuhh, that was creepy.
I got goosebumps ;-)
Interesting you mention the goosebumps. What I refer to as goosebump energy is tied in somehow with what occurs in these experiences. I'm not sure that we are always the catalyst, as it also seems to be in play at other times. Like when we feel someone is looking at us, and we turn in the correct direction and sure enough, someone is looking at us.
Appreciate your reading and commenting. It was for sure a frightening experience.
i just fear the paranormal things, i stop reading your post when you start to write about your experience, i am so sorry. It is night now i will read it in morning and if i can write about it i will write a post. Good day.
Fear is often a default position when faced with both an unknown coupled with seeming malevolence. As one begins to explore themselves they realize there is more to ourselves than what we are taught as well. A power that can be accessed to journey into areas that we are taught are imaginary. We have immense power, hidden away behind all of the many descriptions given to us that were designed to minimize our potential.
No need for apologies. Perhaps tomorrow you will be able to read it, and perhaps even share an event in your life with us. If not, my apologies for producing a challenge that is for sure a fearful one. I believe that only through such exploration can we learn more about not just ourselves, but the immense mystery around us. But such an exploration is not for all, and no apologies ever needed. You walk your path and walking off paths are not for all. :)
Very important.
But fear is also important - the question is whether one learns how to have courage... or learns to run faster ;-)
Yes, fear is important when we overcome the structures that have taught us to place it in the control chair. It's so often unavoidable, but if one can move on to an action the silent witness inside of us is able to transform that fear into a usable energy and its paralyzing affect no longer has a hold over us.
Powerless beings can do naught but freeze in their inadequacies. Powerful beings act, trusting in some innate knowing that occurs in the moment. Doesn't always equate to a winning outcome, but does much to enhance the odds. :)
I still haven't had time to watch that video yet. I will later tonight after I've rested a bit more. I'm still disoriented from lack of sleep from working last night, and after I run some errands will lay down for a bit longer than watch it. Thanks again for sharing it. I look forward to seeing what it's about.
And that is the now-experience. Naive psychology teaches fight or flight and forgot the third option (that many animals use) - freeze!
@practicalthought here is my entry post for #beingsocial that i wrote today, i am sorry for being late. Among the challenges last one was good for me and in this one i wrote what i experienced till now, not so much but all are true. Contest of #beingsocial is really interesting, so i don't want to leave any contest. Good day to you.

I have read your experience. That's amazing.
Thank you for sharing several compelling experiences with us.
I just now got around to voting your posts. Wanted to let you know I hadn't forgotten. The weekend really drains my power and then I try not to fall behind in the many areas I neglect while it is recharging.
I realized when I just voted it I have a weird way about me where I usually won't comment until such a time as I can upvote. It dawned on me as I was voting and commenting this could have added to the perception I either chose not to look or perhaps was disinterested in your sharing. I hope this was not the case, and apologize if that perception was created by my conduct. So if it happens again as it might, please be patient and know I am definitely interested in what you share. :)

It was an interesting read, made more so as you explain from the concept involving Jinn. Thank you.
Here is my entry post: https://blurt.blog/beingsocial/@emilyben/the-only-paranormal-experience-in-my-life
Thanks dear @steemibu351 for informing me such an amazing challenge.
Thank you for participating. I can imagine how frightened you were after reading of your experience.
Thanks for choosing my post for previous challenge. And the ongoing challenge is more fascinated for me as i have experienced a lot of paranormal events when i was 3rd grade to 10th grade at school. I was going to bed for sleeping. But i can't wait to share my experience. So i just turn on my computer and started to write. I will submit my experience about one and a half hour later.
Awesome. I'll have to read it tomorrow. I need to go take a nap before work. I should have been down over an hour ago or so. So glad you will be participating. I'll probably actually read it tonight when I pull over to take a break, but will vote and comment tomorrow. :)
Ok dear. I have already started to write. Stay happy and blessed in your work.
