Some laborers work to plant our paddy this morning. A special tradition of Bangladesh is to feed the workers who plant rice and plant betel leaves at the same time. So we also have to feed the workers. A total of six workers work in our field.
আজ সকালে আমাদের ধান লাগানোর জন্যে কিছু শ্রমিক কাজ করেন। বাংলাদেশের একটি বিশেষ ঐতিহ্য হলো ধান লাগানো এবং পান লাগানো শ্রমিকদের একবেলা খেতে দিতে হয়। তাই আমাদেরও শ্রমিকগুলোকে খেতে দিতে হয়। আমাদের মাঠে মোট ছয়জন শ্রমিক কাজ করে।
So my father-in-law brought the bazaar at night and asked me to arrange rice and eggs in the morning. Me and my mother-in-law wake up in the morning and start preparing food. I was very busy doing these things this morning. However we are very happy to send the food ahead of time. Of course I will show you our paddy land one day.
তাই আমার শ্বশুর রাতে বাজার করে আনেন এবং সকাল বেলা ভাত ও ডিমের আয়োজন করতে বলেন। আমি আর আমার শ্বাশুরী সকালে ঘুম থেকে উঠে খাবার তৈরি করার কাজে লেগে পড়ি। আজ সকালে এসব কাজ করতে গিয়ে অনেক ব্যস্ততার মধ্যে পড়ি। তবুও সময়ের আগেই খাবার পাঠাতে পেরে আমরা অনেক খুশি। অবশ্যই আপনাদের একদিন আমাদের ধানের জমি দেখাবো।
Although six people were supposed to work, later two more people helped us, so the amount of rice and curry had to be increased. But unfortunately they did not work carefully. Paddy has been planted at random which will not give a good yield of rice and where it has been planted, many seedlings have been planted together. It is not understood how the yield of rice will be.
ছয়জন কাজ করা কথা থাকলেও পরে আরো দুইজন মানুষ আমাদের কাজে সাহায্য করে তাই ভাত এবং তরকারির পরিমানটা বাড়াতে হয়েছিল। কিন্তু দুঃখের বিষয় তারা মনোযোগ দিয়ে কাজ করেনি। ধান একেবারে ফাঁকা ফাঁকা করে লাগিয়েছে যা ধানের ভালো ফলন দিবেনা আবার যেখানে লাগিয়েছে একেবারে অনেকগুলো চারা একসাথে রোপণ করে ফেলেছে। ধানের যে কেমন ফলন হবে বোঝা যাচ্ছে না।
