Last Monday I went to Rajshahi alone. It was my first train journey. My husband only buys tickets online. I went to the station to print the ticket and waited for a long time for the train. Being the first train journey, I was very scared and tensed inside. Whether I can get up properly or find a seat, thinking about these complications, I didn't want to go. But there was nothing to do, I had to go for my health.
গতদিন সোমবার আমি একাই রাজশাহীতে গিয়েছিলাম। আমার প্রথম ট্রেন ভ্রমণ ছিল এটি। আমার স্বামী শুধু অনলাইনে টিকিট কিনে দেন। আমি স্টেশনে গিয়ে টিকিট প্রিন্ট করায় এবং ট্রেনের জন্যে অনেকক্ষণ অপেক্ষা করি। প্রথম ট্রেন ভ্রমন হওয়ায় আমি ভেতরে ভেতরে খুবই ভয় পাচ্ছিলাম এবং টেনশন হচ্ছিল। যে ঠিক ভাবে উঠতে পারবো কিনা সিট খুজে পাবো কিনা, এসব জটিলতার কথা ভেবে এক কথায় আমার যেতেই মন চাচ্ছিল না। কিন্তু করার কিছুই নেই আমার সুস্থতার জন্যে যেতেই হতো।
My train time was 10.00 am yesterday morning. But it was almost 10.40 minutes before the train arrived. I bought a bottle of water thinking I would be thirsty in the train and boarded the train. Trains do not stop for more than two to three minutes at our Bheramara station. I got on the train after pushing through the crowd. I got a seat next to the window, I didn't have to stand. But I went and saw a boy sitting on my seat. A boy is also sitting on the seat next to me. I was feeling a little annoyed that the boy was sitting next to me. Where it used to take me three hours to go by bus, I reached Rajshahi station in just two hours. Then I went to my destination.
আমার ট্রেনের সময় ছিল গতকাল সকাল ১০ টা ১০ মিনিটে। কিন্তু ট্রেন আসতে প্রায় ১০টা ৪০ মিনিট বেজে গিয়েছিল। ট্রেনের মধ্যে পানি পিপাসা লাগবে ভেবে এক বোতল পানি কিনে ট্রেনে উঠি। আমাদের ভেড়ামারা স্টেশনে ট্রেন দুই থেকে তিন মিনিটের বেশি থামে না। বেশ ভিড়ের মধ্যে ঠেলাঠেলি করেই ট্রেনে উঠি। জানালার পাশেই সিট পায় আমি, দাঁড়িয়ে যেতে হয়নি একটুও। তবে গিয়ে দেখি একজন ছেলে মানুষ আমার সিটে বসে তাকে বললাম আপনি যে সিটে বসে আছেন ঐ সিটটি আমার বলতেই উনি উঠে যান এবং আমি সেখানে বসি। আমার পাশের সিটেও একজন ছেলে মানুষ বসে। আমার পাশে ছেলে মানুষ বসায় আমি একটু বিরক্তি বোধ করছিলাম। যেখানে বাসে গেলে আমার তিন ঘন্টা সময় লাগতো সেখানে মাত্র দুই ঘন্টার মধ্যেই আমি রাজশাহী স্টেশনে পৌঁছে যায়। এরপর আমি চলে যায় আমার গন্তব্যে।
But the trip was comfortable. Traveling by bus takes more time and many people vomit because of the stench of gas. Again, the train fare is much less than the bus fare. So in that case it can be said that train travel is affordable and comfortable. I may not do much bus travel from now on.
তবে ভ্রমণটি আরামদায়ক ছিল। বাসে ভ্রমণ করলে সময় বেশি লাগে আবার গ্যাসের দুর্গন্ধের জন্যে বমি হয় অনেকেরই। আবার বাসের ভাড়ার চেয়ে ট্রেনের ভাড়াও অনেক কম। তাই সেক্ষেত্রে বলাই যায় ট্রেণ ভ্রমন সাশ্রয়ী, স্বস্তির। আমি এরপর থেকে হয়তো আর বাস ভ্রমণ বেশি করবো না।
