This is some very bad news if you drink a few beers every day … even worse if you smoke and drink together.
I will be switching to water.
No more beers and wine for me.
Drinking alcohol raises your risk of developing head and neck, breast, colorectal, esophageal, liver, stomach and pancreatic cancers.
Smoking and drinking together – and the number of drinks you have – also increases your risk of developing cancer. Tobacco and alcohol together are worse for you than either on its own.
Drinking about 3.5 drinks a day doubles or even triples your risk of developing cancer of the mouth, pharynx, larynx and esophagus.
Drinking about 3.5 drinks a day increases your risk of developing colorectal cancer and breast cancer by 1.5 times.
The less alcohol you drink, the lower your cancer risk.
Oh snap!
Alcohol seems to be a youth thing, at least a bad habit picked up in youth that can last a lifetime. Nice post. Agreed, water it is for a healthy future.
Yes.. water and lots of walking with @actifit
Daily drinking might truly be a bad thing. But weekly? I will still savour the Jamesons :)
I hope I can have at least one drink per week. …. 🥃
Do it. I'll join you in that 👍
Having 3.5 drinks a day, every day, sounds like a LOT to me. I drink a beer, glass of wine or other drink every now and then. 3.5 drinks or more in a single day is very rare for me. Maybe if I'm out St. Patrick's day or at a party or something.
Besides, EVERYTHING causes cancer. And living causes death 100% of the time.
True. Recently there are people who are dropping dead every day.
Never before have so many people died suddenly. …
So enjoy your life. Have an occasional beer.
Cheers. https://blurt.upvu.org/
Hmmm. I have known many and I mean many full blown alcoholics and non of them have yet to have cancer. Some are getting up there in age too. How some of them are alive, I don't know. I would think their liver would fail but nope. I would think their guts would rot just in general but miraculously no. Onward they go. I also know many former alcoholics and non of them have cancer either. Same thing, getting up there in age. Not sure I believe this.
Yeah ... in the past they always recommended a few beers or a glass of red wine each day was good for you.
