My glitch on BeBlurt frontend continues

in beblurt •  2 months ago

BeBlurt has been around for years now, and has become popular with a lot of users. But there's still a glitch that prevents me from using it! Will it ever be fixed?

Here's what happens when I try to post:

I'd love to use their lovely frontend, but if I'm "unknown" even when logged in...

Here's what my post was going to say:

I'm posting to my Blurt blog from the BeBlurt frontend.

What exactly am I posting?

Nothing, I guess! But if it works, I'll be happy, because then I have the option of using this frontend a lot more. If it doesn't work, oh well, you won't be seeing this anyway.(I'm not able to add images... which doesn't bode well.)

So let's do it! Here we go. I'm trying to post from BeBlurt. Let me know if it works!

But alas, I am still unknown.

Sadly, I can't use "blurtlatam" or other iterations either. The only frontend I know about, which still works for me, is Blurt.Blog (but if you have any suggestions please let me know).

I hope these guys get it fixed soon...

It's probably from the code used for whalevault in beblurt (with the use of the localstorage of the browser)

Well I remain ever hopeful that it will be resolved! Because it's a nice front end, and great to have options. Thanks also for your manual curation.

I like BeBlurt and have used it for a couple of years... and I do encounter that error message from time to time. The only fix that I have been able to use is to log out and log back in from a page that has nothing to do with my profile where I have to put in my posting key as well as just the pincode.

It's awkward... and I wish they'd apply a patch. But I guess sifting through 100,000 lines of code is a pain, too...
