I photographed the food that we ate yesterday, it consisted of some few foodstuffs that are bought by my siblings and myself. I contributed about 4 liters of ice cream and the green fern salad, and black grapes. My sister bough a couple of roasted chicken and the sift drinks. My eldest brother bough one set of Maki and crispy spring rolls, plus the rice wrapped in Banana leaves. My other brother brought some spring rolls and I do not know what else.
It is actually a pre-celebration of my mother's birthday because my other brother and his family will be going to other event today to visit the place they scheduled it to happen which is today, my mother's birthday. So today we will still have a family gathering together with my sister and her family and my eldest brother who will visit us again to celebrate my mother's birthday. I actually ordered a bunch of Maki which is my mother's favorite food to eat and forbid me to buy anything else like the roast pig that I was planning to purchase for this day but it never materialized.
I don't know, if I can buy some tray of lechon I will just add it to what we will be having today but the Maki are so much already for us to eat and I bet that we will not be able to eat them all as I ordered the big ones with the most Maki pieces per one big circular tray, its a Maki glut da now 😋😆. I was about to cancel the delivery date but my sister told mother to let things be and will ask my eldest brother to go back here again to spend another "Maki" party for my mother's big day. Its just a simple family gathering but I told mother that if we will not consume the Maki, she will have to invite other people to come by the house and feed them the Makis which is actually everyone's favorite party food because of its taste and the way it is presented as you can see in the above photo which is a "Mix special" as it is called.
I am a bit sad to to realize that my mother is not getting any younger but it is a reality and I am thankful to God that she is still sharp in mind and strong with her body although experiencing the ravages of old age. I am glad that her recent body pains had some improvement after I told her to stop taking the calcium supplement that she was taking before as it seems that her body was not tolerating it already, so my call was right and it done good as my mother's pain with her body overall improved but according to her, her right shoulder is still sprained and it was unlike before, but regardless she can still do her previous work and errands around the house but with the help of my father now.
