I happened to buy some of the last batches of Mangoes sold by a near-by vendor through Facebook post a few days ago and now it is my main dessert fruit after my meals.
"Crystal-induced Arthritis" is the name of the diagnosis which was given by the Rheumatologist doctor to my mother. So now we have a diagnosis for what is plaguing my mother for the last few weeks now. She was actually given some temporary relief medication which are to be taken for now and the succeeding days. One of those medicines are Colchicine which is used to relieve the pain from my mother's joints.
The NSAID type of pain reliever is also working now as well because my mother is able to walk again and not feeling disabled by these nasty joint pains all over her body with her joints. I am glad that my brother took heed of my request to make m mother see a specialist for her ailment and I am confident that my mother will get to feel better from now on God-willing.
She will be seeing the doctor hopefully and God-willing next week and I hope that the doctor would prescribe her the medicine that would actually treat the cause of my mother's Arthritic joints which is unprecedented to my family tree on both sides of the family because I have not known any of my relatives getting the same joint disease. I have a joint and bone disease but it is totally different from Arthritis because it has an origin which is an imbalance about Phosphorus and Calcium in my blood and I was able to manage it by taking a one magic bullet that I know to reverse the effect of the secondary hyperparathyroidism and it worked.
But my mother's joint condition seems to have no cure but by only managing it so that my mother would not suffer too much. I am guessing that the doctor might one day prescribe my mother to take medication like prednisone or steroid if my suspicion is right that she have an overactive immune disorder. If it were the case then I might see that my mother's condition will improve.
Like all other medications, the use of steroid has its own side-effects like it affects the rising of blood pressure, heart ailments, and being susceptible to infections because it tones-down the immune system which in fact is needed if a patient has an overactive immune system. I can only pray about my mother condition and I hope that God would touch her doctor to give the doctor more wisdom in treating my mother.
With regards to my mother's body pain issues, it was her main complaint even when I was younger. She has a history of aching legs due to eating vegetables such as string beans and legumes of some varieties. I actually told her to refrain from eating those because it causes her to develop rheumatism of the legs and her flanks which is why her bouts of rheumatism got lessened. It is only now that it got worse to the point that it made her not able to do some errands around the house especially doing the laundry which is a heavy work even if you use a washing machine.
Now a fully automatic washing machine will be the in the last of what I plan to buy now just to save my mother/parents about the effort of washing our clothes so that all that they will have to do is to put dirty clothes in and take clean clothes out and dry it a little under the sun or shade.
I am glad that at least I can help my mother with her medication and subsequent doctor visits, I just needed my brother's assistance about taking our mother to and from the doctor and I will shoulder the rest because I can do so thank be to God. Now I will have to forgo about some of my wants for myself and wait a little bit until I can be sure that all things will get smother from this point onwards regarding my finances so that I can easily solve our needs before going for what I want which is basically also in the form of need like replacing this seven-year's old laptop and getting a new Smartphone and an electric wheelchair plus light-weigh wheelchair too, but I can still wait.
