Yesterday I learned about the laboratory tests of my blood and they show good results with some tests showing that I needed adjusting my intake of calcium for example because the test for it had showed that I have a higher than normal levels of Calcium in my blood. I am not quite alarmed of having a high Calcium in my blood because I am using vitamin K2 MK-7 and it prevents Calcium from getting deposited in my body's soft tissues but into my bones which is why I have some improvements for my leontiasis Ossea condition caused by secondary hyperparathyroidism which is caused by high levels of Phosphorus in blood.
The other test which is for Phosphorus for example is low and it is quite good although it is lower then normal, I think that I also have to adjust my food intake like eating one piece of egg prior for my dialysis so that I can nudge my blood's Phosphorus levels back-up again so that it won't be that much low. It also means that I am effectively controlling or managing my Phosphorus levels very well although I do not eat that much which makes it easier for me to do so.
The Potassium levels in my blood is quite on the border of being high and it is no surprise for me really for the reason that I am eating fruits everyday. Well the reason for it as I had said it already from my past blogs is that it prevents me from getting constipated. Using some Calcium supplement predisposes me from suffering from having a bad case of constipation and I really do not want that to happen hence my daily consumption of fruits fresh or whatever including some vegetables and my use of my Moringa capsules with my meals to keep me well-nourished.
My blood's hemoglobin levels is also high and high enough for my Nephrologist to hold my EPO injections. I am using two 4,000 I.U. injections per week and considering that I do not need it because I am actually not reliant of EPO to make my hemoglobin levels go-up, these additional EPO like what I am receiving raised it up considerably. So in turn I will have to either take home my allocated EPO injections or sell it for cash. Well selling my extra EPO for cash is awesome because some patients needs it because they can't raise their own hemoglobin levels so that supposedly needed extra EPO injections for that matter and they can buy it for cheap from me. It is something that out of this world for me because I will be earning money and getting dialyzed at the same time, unbelievable!
As for my creatinine levels, it still remains to be high but I guess that I needed the blood pump speed to be raised because it is the only thing at dialysis setting to lower it. The higher the sped for the blood pump, the more blood is cleaned because of the volume of blood going or passing through the dialyzer gives it more cleaning factor. I will see to it if I my nurses would raise the blood pump because I just needed my blood to get cleaned more and maybe it will also improve my appetite as well like before from the former days where I can eat very well.
We now as dialysis patients can be monitored well by our Nephrologists for a much proper care that we all needed because these "lab works" are now free of charge. I mean that it is all covered by our health insurance so we need not to pay for it. It has been a very, very long issue that most dialysis patients can't get the best treatment because of this hurdle if not properly getting monitored because it is a big burden for us to pay for this important aspect of our health care. In effect, many dialysis patients can have a much better outcome for their different way of life thanks to the men and women who made these things possible for the dialysis sector of my country, so because of that, all thanks and glory is to God because of his unspeakable gifts.
