Con su nieta próxima a cumplir 15 años al viejo doctor y científico no se le ocurrió una mejor idea que celebrarlo con una gran fiesta como se solia hacer hace eones en el planeta de origen de donde provenía su raza, una tradición conocida como «quinceañera», el doctor Big Populus lo habia leído hace años en una biblioteca espacial mas vieja que el, mucho años antes de encontrar a su nieta perdida a la deriva en el espacio abordo de una pequeña capsula, luego de rescatarla la llevo a casa con el y la adopto, Big Populus adoraba a su nieta pese a no llevar su sangre y desde hace unos pocos años tampoco su apellido, Marina Populus era una niña muy curiosa, hiperactiva, astuta e inteligente, cada vez que podía le preguntaba a su abuelo -¿ que habia pasado con sus padres, quienes eran ?-, y el doctor Big Populus siempre le contaba la misma historia para salir del paso, -habían muerto desafortunadamente en un accidente espacial cuando ella era una bebe!!!-, sin darles mayores detalles. Pero cuando la niña cumplió 12 años el viejo Doctor Big Populus juzgo que ella estaba lista para escuchar la verdadera historia de como habia llegado a sus brazos.
Marina escucho de boca de su querido abuelo, el único miembro de su familia que habia conocido desde que tenía memoria!!!, que este la habia encontrado volando en el espacio a la deriva en una capsula espacial durante uno de sus muchos viajes expedicionarios que solia hacer de tanto en tanto en la búsqueda de nuevas razas por todo el universo!!!, a Marina no le molesto el hecho de enterarse que su abuelo no era su sangre, lo quería, lo adoraba, era todo lo que tenía, pero desde entonces se obsesiono con descubrir que le habia pasado a sus padres, los cuales quizás estaban aun con vida en algún recóndito planeta de la galaxia y también con la nave espacial a la que pertenecía la capsula donde la hallo su abuelo, la «Starlight», desde entonces la precoz Marina Populus adopto como apellido el nombre de esa nave y cada vez que oía un rumor sobre la misma lo seguía sin medir los riesgos ni consecuencias, con la esperanza en su corazón de que si daba con la nave espacial estaría un paso mas cerca de hallar a sus padres, el nombre de la nave Starlight!!! era la única pista que tenía sobre ellos.
Cuando el día del cumpleaños numero 15 de Marina Starlight llego su abuelo Big Populus se habia encargado de organizar una gran fiesta de quinceañera para ella pero totalmente en secreto quería tomarla por sorpresa, invitando a algunos de sus amigos del colegio «la secundaria Cohete Espacial» y sus vecinos, esa tarde cuando Marina regreso del colegio hablo con ella, la niña le comunico que saldría un momento esa tarde a la biblioteca espacial, pero que luego regresaría a casa temprano, cuando Marina volvió a salir el doctor Big Populus entro a su cuarto y escondió en su closet su precioso vestido de Quincerañera para sorprenderla cuando regresara a casa, unas horas después cuando Marina volvió a la casa, ya todo estaba listo para la fiesta sorpresa en el taller de trabajo del doctor Big Populus, el junto con sus amigos, los globos, el decorado y el pastel, la aguardaban solo faltaba la quinceañera!!!, los minutos fueron pasando y Marina nada que se presentaba en su fiesta sorpresa, el doctor Big Populus les dijo a todos que guardaran silencio mientras el iba a ver que pasaba con su nieta, entro a la casa la llamo a viva voz -Marina, Marina!!!-, pero su nieta no le respondió, subió entonces a su habitación para buscarla, allí estaba el precioso vestido tirado sobre la cama con una nota escrita sobre un papel colocado encima, -Lo siento mucho abuelo, regresare en un par de días!!!-, el doctor Big Populus maldijo su suerte corrió hasta el hangar pero ya era demasiado tarde, Marina se habia robado otra vez una de sus naves, su nieta lo habia vuelto hacer, estaba sin duda detrás de otra pista, de algún otro rumor persiguiendo a la nave perdida Starlight!!!.
Ese mismo día mucho mas temprano Marina Starlight estaba muy emocionada por su fiesta sorpresa de Quinceañera que le habia preparado su abuelo en secreto, el doctor Big Populus era un gran científico e investigador ademas de ser un mago con las herramientas para reparar o crear maquinas novedosas y fabulosos inventos tecnológicos, pero no era muy bueno para ocultar la organización de su fiesta, la noche anterior lo vio cargando con los globos y el decorado rumbo a su taller y esa mañana cuando en el colegio todos sus amigos se acercaron a felicitarla pero ninguno la invito al cine, a comer helados o pizzas mas tarde no tuvo duda que su abuelo los habia invitado a todos a una fiesta sorpresa por su cumpleaños!!!, seria sin duda un lindo cumpleaños pensaba Marina cuando una señal de alerta se encendió en su tablet durante las clases, la inteligente joven habia configurado su aparato electrónico para que le avisara cuando en algún sitio de la galaxia se publicaran la combinación de ciertas palabras claves: Perdida, Tripulación, Nave, Starlight.
Cuando Marina regreso a casa esa tarde luego del colegio, en su cuarto trato de seguir la pista desde su computador pero fue imposible la información privilegiada estaba cifrada solo para uso de un poderoso gremio, la pista provenia de un cartel de búsqueda del gremio de cazadores espaciales de recompensas, unos tipos muy duros que se encargaban de cazar piratas espaciales, asesinos y monstruos por toda la galaxia!!!, ellos imponían sus propias reglas y funcionaban fuera del yugo de la temible CEV ( Confederación Espacial Vampírica ), y su contra parte la FESL ( Federación Espacial de Sistemas Libres ), Marina tenía que seguir adelante, se despidió de su abuelo luego de mentirle diciéndole que iba a la biblioteca espacial pero en realidad se dirigió a la oficina que tenía el gremio allí mismo en su ciudad ubicada en Caotic Planet, apenas entro en la oficina se aproximo a la taquilla y solicito el cartel que necesitaba, el encargado la olfateo de arriba a abajo antes de ladrar:
-¿Tu eres cazadora?, ¿muéstrame tu insignia niña?.

Saludos doctor @ariezeh, tenía varios meses pensando la siguiente aventura de los Malditos Gatos de la Galaxia, la Capitana Gelatina junto con Waldo y el resto de su tripulación tenian que volver retomando la historia donde la habia dejado, pero habia una buena historia que solo toque de soslayo en la primera temporada "el origen" de Marina Starlight, me parecio buena idea abrir fuego con ella, me servira para soltar alguno que otro secreto sobre el pasado del doctor Big Populus, ademas de introducir y nombrar a varios de mis personajes del bigverso que aun no han aparecido en esta versión deconstruida del mismo, estos gatos espaciales tienen mas de una historia que contar alrededor del hilo principal.
