Some Healthy Skin Tips

in beauty •  2 years ago

I have never believed in using fancy cosmetic products. I always enjoy doing my home-made therapies and keeping it simple. I am not a makeup fan at all. In my cosmetic kit, I have 2 shades of lip wear, which I use very rarely if I have to go out for some grand occasion like wedding or something like that. The only thing that I used on my face is a water based rose gel of Forest Essential brand which is completely chemical free and made of mixed herbs. Other than that, I do not ever do any facials in parlor or any face or in that manner any other skin treatments. Yes, I do go for my regular Ayurvedic Kerala massage.

Other than that, whatever I have to do is all at home and these remedies are all very healthy for the skin. Every Friday or Saturday morning I have a routine for my hair and face home care.
Aloe Vera is one plant that is very good for the skin. I had mentioned about this some time back also that how I had treated one of my skin rash problems just with Aloe Vera. I grow it in my garden so it's easy for me to use. An Aloe Vera plant a rich source of antioxidants and vitamins A, B, C and E, which is healthy for hair and skin. I like to use it both for my hair and skin.

Let me share my home-made recipe with you for a healthy skin, trust me if you start using this regularly you will see the difference in the texture of your skin and hair. I am not bragging about myself, but trust me I am 48 years and I have may be 8 to 10 grey hair. I have never colored my hair and do not intend to do it ever. Ageing is a natural process and I believe that I should accept that part of life gracefully. But yes, hair greying before the age is an internal problem. Nowadays by 30 only the hair greying problem starts. Another thing is these are not overnight quick fixes. You need to consistently do it all the time. I have been doing it since the last 20 years and I can see that it has benefitted me a lot over a period of time.

Ingredients for the face pack
Gram Flour - It acts as a cleansing agent. Also dries up the skin, so if one has a dry skin problem then the quantity needs to be very less.
Aloe Gel - Better to remove it fresh from the plant then using the market ones
Spoon of Curd - This work as a moisturizer and balances the dryness created by gram flour
Pinch of Turmeric
Rose water

If you wish you may add Himalayan bath salt. I add this for the body part and not for the face.

Mix all of this and make a thick paste. This can also be used for the whole body and just not the face. Apply it and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes and then wash it. It will leave your skin smooth and glowing.

The Aloe can be cut and kept in the fridge for 8 to 10 days, not more than that.

A healthy skin makes us feel confident about ourself, it gives a good feeling to our whole self. This is what I feel.
Some people think that these remedies are for making your skin fairer. It's not like that, these remedies make our skin glow then no matter what shade our skin is and makes it healthy.

I hope you will find this useful.

Oh, I'll try this. I have one rule for skin care:
ONLY PUT IT ON YOUR FACE IF YOU WOULD EAT IT!

That's a golden rule. Skin is very important part of us and needs good nourishment for sure
