According to Pakistan's Foreign Office, the number of Pakistani students residing in Ukraine was about 3,000 while the total number of citizens including the Pakistani community was about 7,000.
In other words, there was something special in Ukraine that Pakistani students were turning to this country for better education.
One of them, Junaid, from the coastal district of Gwadar in Balochistan, had earlier been pursuing expensive private medical education in Karachi and was a third-year MBBS student.
When he considered going abroad for better education, he found Ukraine to be the best country financially.
He said that Ukraine was not only the cheapest country for students from poorer countries but also had a "very good quality of education". Is also recognized. He said that before the war a Ukrainian was equal to six and a half rupees Pakistani currency. In this regard, to do MBBS in Ukraine, the cost of all educational expenses including hostel accommodation, food, and drink was six to six and a half million rupees per year.
He said Ukraine was undoubtedly a "blessing" for students from the world's poorest countries because "its degree is important not only in European countries but also because education is much cheaper there than in European countries."
In response to a question, Junaid said that in Ukraine, as in China, foreign students are not required to work in hotels or other places, nor are they required to study Ukrainian for one year.
He said that the Ukrainian language is taught there but there is only one lecture a day for teaching the Ukrainian language along with studying in English.
Junaid said that when he was admitted to the medical school in Ukraine, he did not delay in going to Ukraine despite some losses. "In case of migration there, you have to study for two semesters anew. Friends suggested that your time would be wasted but I said that it does not matter because I am ready to spend many more years for quality education.

Impressive. If you know a place that gives what you need, going there would be a very nice thing to do. That is the case of Junaid, the MBBS student.
Due to the current war, it will be a big deal for students studying in Ukraine to get back to their academics. I hope they get back to full study once the whole war is over.
