Since the opening of classes for the school year 2023-2024 is fast approaching, the Department of Education highlighted the "Bayanihan" spirit, cooperation and collaboration among Filipinos to help schools prepare for the opening of classes by participating in this year's Brigada Eskwela Program.
The Brigada Eskwela also known as Bayanihan Para sa Paaralan is a nationwide annual program that engages all education stakeholders; teachers, parents, students, community members, and other organizations contribute their time, efforts, and resources in ensuring that public schools are all set in time for class opening. They have to do minor repairs and clean-ups on their schools in preparation for the start of the school year. This program also seeks to increase learner participation and reduce dropouts, and improve education quality in participating schools to increase student performance.
In order to be ready for the opening of classes, parents work hand in hand in cleaning to make our classroom safe and conducive for learning.
