Welcoming a new life into the Christian community is a wonderful way to celebrate this joyous occasion.
The process of welcoming a baby into the Christian world is known as baptism or christening. It is a symbolic act of welcoming the child into the Christian faith and marking the beginning of their spiritual journey. During the ceremony, the baby will be anointed with holy water, and prayers will be said for their spiritual growth and well-being. Family and friends can participate in the ceremony by offering prayers or blessings for the baby.
After the ceremony, it is a tradition to celebrate with family and friends, often with a reception or meal. It is also important to continue to nurture the baby's spiritual growth by attending church and incorporating Christian values into their daily life.
Remember that baptism or christening is a symbolic act, and the true meaning lies in the commitment to raise your child in the Christian faith and to nurture their spiritual development throughout their life.
We celebrated this very important occasion last year. We had a little food such as pancit bihon, spaghetti, cakes, puto cheese, chicken menudo, and tender (hum)pork known as humba.
I am very happy that my child has finally been baptized. I am also grateful to all those who helped, prepared food, and to everyone who participated in this occasion.
Thank you for your support. May God Bless us all 🙏❤️.
