Lately I have been getting these constant messages from my bank on upgrading my Credit card. I do not want to avail this facility but they keep insisting that I should do it. I do not wish to change any part of my current banking set up that they have, but they try to keep luring me. Few days back they insisted that they would want to have a face to face meeting with me. I told the person very clearly that I have no plans to make any changes but then since he is insisting so much again and again we can do the meeting.
To my surprise instead of one there were three people who came along and that moment I knew that they were going to convince me any how, Then they started the conversation and it was around the same thing. One reason being that I have been their customer for a long time and I am always very prompt on all my credit card payments, which gives me a good CIBIL score. They also have targets to achieve so they want to move people like me up in their programs based on these scores. But the catch here is if I take the higher program then I need to have more money as minimum balance to be maintained in my account, which I do not wish to do.
In the beginning they will lure you with all possible offers and then after a year or so you have all those additional charges popping up to pay, and hence for that reason also I do not wish to get into higher programs. My sister also works in a bank and she tells me it's best to keep it simple and to stay in lower programs. Those higher programs are good for people with big income flow. In my case it's not even the case. But then I got it, they are connecting me with my hubby and giving me all these offers.
Now the 3 of them have completely screwed up my mind with their 2 hour long meeting and I am not yet convinced to move up. I do not think I am in any loss over here. I am not sure of them why they are insisting so much.
