Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.

  2. Mix Wet Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Stir in the eggs, one at a time, until well incorporated. Add vanilla extract and mix.

  3. Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, sift together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.

  4. Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid over-mixing to keep the brownies fudgy.

  5. Add Optional Ingredients
If you like, fold in chocolate chips or chopped nuts for added texture and flavor.

  6. Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  1. Cool and Serve
Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before cutting them into squares. Enjoy them warm or at room temperature!

Tips for Perfect Brownies:

  • For extra gooey brownies, bake for slightly less time.
  • Try adding a sprinkle of sea salt on top for a hint of flavor contrast.
