Here are some buzzwords - #elonmusk #ai, #chatgpt, #pc.

Recently there has been a lot of talk about our friend Elon and his management methods. There seems to be some admiration for his methods and even envy for his loose demeanor. The point is that his behavior is not the cause of his success. The man succeeded because of genius and hard work and the result is that he allows himself to behave freely.
So why is there admiration precisely for the unloading of his yoke? Because many people are tired of political correctness.

People spot a fake. And the politically correct became cynical. The behavior can be good but we will be offended if we know that there is no real intention behind it.
That's what's refreshing about a loose conduct, even sometimes clownish and unfortunately sometimes offensive. It feels real.
We want the good and respectful behavior but also with intention. We want to feel the true respect that a person has for us.

If we read a flattering text and find out that it was written by a robot, we will feel its fake. If we know that it was written by a person we will feel better about it.

If we know that we were recruited to fill a diversity check box we will not feel the same feeling as if we were recruited because of our abilities.

If we treat other people as just functions we might as well to talk to a machine. But there is a different feeling to know that there is a person behind the words rather then a machine.

We might find that this is a primitive leftover, like admiring human physical strength were it is no longer needed. Or we might find out that there is a quality we have that we cannot automate. Something we call a soul.

Software artifacts are already very capable and have a longer "life span" that people. Looks like automating "soul" qualities is very achievable.
We can already love the machines, though we know that it doesn't really love us back. Maybe at some point we won't be sure anymore. We won't feel the fake...
Automating love can be so good for many people. Free love at last. So why doesn't it feel good to think about it?
