Yes, you heard it right, virtual things in the real world. We have a lot of applications related to this from basic to very high end areas. Basic applications can be seen in many camera apps for example snapchat where we use different filters such as having makeup, long hairs or being bald or having different outfit. Google uses AI and machine learning algorithms to build these augmented reality work better in their camera app. Many companies are working on prototypes where they use HUD displays in their car windshield so that we can get map navigation on the windshield and it guides very accurately in routing the paths.

I myself made an augmented reality based project in my college that was based on making a car showroom experience and I really enjoyed making that. An automobile company known as “KIA” also started an augmented reality app for their customers to experience their products from anywhere in the world. This technology is becoming popular day by day and has a very positive growth rate.
