#artblurt Contest winners!!
First I want to thank @blurtcontests and others for generous support through upvoting our contest posts and our contestant's entries.
Second I want to thank the contestants who participated in this new contest. I am new to Blurt and wasn't even sure if anyone would participate, but we received four entries and a lot of support from the community.
We received so much support that I decided to raise the prize to:
100 Blurt for 1st place
50 Blurt for second place.
The problem is now judging. It is not fair to judge art at all because it comes from the heart and is subjective. Some artists here have more years of skill and training than others and it is hard to say one work is greater than another.
If I did the contest again I would divide the prize money evenly between all the entrants. But I said I would give a first place prize and a second place prize so here it is:
1st Place (100 Blurt):
I must give the first place award to @offgridlife for demonstration of proof of paint. Inside we find a step by step process in video. The painting also has a relaxing quality and comes from first hand experience. 100 Blurt will be sent to @offgridlife now.
2nd Place (50 Blurt)

Second place was more difficult to decide. I gave the second place prize to @bluepeach0545. I was impressed with what was done with just a pen and pencil.
I also enjoyed reading the description and was happy to see the post shared on Twitter. I sent 50 Blurt to @bluepeach0545.
On a rainy afternoon, against the backdrop of light gray clouds, the backyard was a wet watercolor painting. I was sitting in front of the sliding door and writing, and I was distracted by writing, like hand-painted graffiti beside class notes , I made a few casual strokes, but the more I paint, the more serious I am. From the skylight painting to the beginning of the lantern, the rain has fallen again, and a small stream flows out on the terrace.

The bonus prize goes to @honoru who entered this tiger drawn by pen. I love the nobility and mystery of this tiger. I'm happy to see @honoru's active participation in the Blurt community and hope to see artist join together on Blurt.

Masterpiece Prize (25 Blurt)
This award goes to a special artist who presented a creative approach to painting. The paintings are mesmerizing and beautiful. I loved the pictures and wanted to hear more about the process and technique.

After holding this contest I began to appreciate the artists we have in the blurt community. I began to make some new friends and also enjoy some good art.
On the other hand I experienced the hard work of our curators at Blurt and @blurtcontests. This was round one and honestly I am not ready for a round two. @blurtart is curating art now and I hope the best for the art community.
Everybody did great in participating and I will let you know if there is a new contest.
