Oxford is full of amazing museums and they are mostly free to get into which, make them a great addition to the city. Free is my favourite price always 😅
The first one we went to was The Museum of the History of Science. They have a ton of stuff astrology pieces and telescopes as well as a section on vaccines and viruses 😬 they also have Lyras golden compass from one of my favourite book sets ‘his dark materials’. The series was also on the tv a couple of years back.
They also have their own version of the natural history museum which, I actually prefer to the London one I think as it’s a lot smaller and a bit easier to digest the ground floor is the most interesting tho.
That huge totem pole in the centre of the museum that almost touches the ceiling was actually bought for around 35 dollars!
Then finally there is the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology. This was without a doubt my favourite as it had so many ancient Egyptian artifacts which, is defo one of my main areas of interest.
