Design and sewing of sleeping gown

In this opportunity I want to show you the step by step of a sewing project as it is a sleeping gown, This is a very comfortable and simple design that everyone can easily make. For this nice project we are going to use the following materials that I show you below

Materials
1 meter of cotton fabric
Model of the robe that we are going to trace
Scissors
Unpicker
White thread
Sewing needle no. 12
Conventional needle
Sewing machine
Pins
Recyclable sheet to make the collar pattern
Measuring tape.

Steps
The first step is to place the fabric to the thread, that is to say where the fabric stretches, there the width is located, then the fabric is folded in half to the size of the pattern that in this case is the robe that we want to replicate, pins are placed in order to hold the fabric so that it does not roll, we proceed to cut the front part.

Afterwards, the fabric is folded in two again just as we folded the model robe and the back part is cut leaving one centimeter more which will be the sewing centimeter.
Join the back of the fabric of the front and the back and sew the edges of the shoulders and each side of the robe with straight stitching and go over the seam again with zigzag stitching.

The desired length is taken, the hem is picked up and sewn with straight stitching and then in zigzag stitching.

To make the selvage of the neck and shoulders, take the sheet, measure the cut of the neck and shoulders and make the pattern with a width of 7 cm using the measuring tape. The fabric is cut following the pattern of both selvedges, the fabric is placed upside down and is manually basted using the needle to fix the fabric so that it does not roll, then the edges are reviewed with the sewing machine. Finally, the baste thread is removed with the thread trimmer to complete the project.

And so we have our design ready, ideal for sleeping as it is a comfortable and loose garment.
