Damn, you hit me pretty hard with that last sentence... Although deep down I know I can't be anyone's savior, I still seem to try. Especially on people who don't really want one. Then I just end up making myself miserable.
Love the painting, I do agree it needs something more. Oil highlights might be perfect.
