Drawing different things helps improve ourselves and I just keep looking for challenges to draw something different every day or whenever possible.
So, let's start then with step by step drawing process.
Here is the first step where in, we can see the outline of the old man is sketched. Check the spect he wears and that nice cap as well.
Hand and cigarette part with lower head part is being sketched and that should give good starting point for the remaining sketch and shading work.
Smoking is even though a bad habit, people keep smoking to get out of their anxiety stress and in many cases I have heard, they won't get ideas unless they smoke. Not sure how far that is true, but smoking is definitely one of the bad habits not only affecting the health of smoker, but also the people surrounding him.
Let's get into the shading part, cap of the old man is being shaded to make it more eye catching.
Although Governments also know the hazards of smoking, they will be reluctant to ban the smoking since it's one of the main sources of income for them.

There are big statutory warnings printed to make it visible to the people, but, it seems like it's one of the addictions for people to smoke and in spite of knowing the danger of cancer or mouth ulcers, people still keep smoking including the highly educated ones.

Per the study results, when 200,000 people were studies for the cause of their death, about 67% died due to diseases related to smoking itself it seems.
We are into the final part here with further shading of full body and minor touch ups here and there.
As per the details on ourworldindata.org, in Twentieth century, around 100 million people died prematurely just because of smoking that too in some of the richest countries.
So, let's re-think about smoking and let's educate others wherever possible to even save non-smokers or passive smokers getting affected besides the smokers themselves.
