Arrogance is sometimes an assumed state where a self assumption of superiority resides, regardless of background, race or species.
Accolades can build into arrogance but this is a false security that does not justify such arrogance. Perhaps arrogance is a superficial form of self gratification but there are also those who exert arrogance as a form of control.
Inflicting arrogance is a statement in itself and lets people know the mindset or intention of one's stance.
