Society is filled with error and inclination to get the better hand. In this process, there will almost undoubtedly be harm inflicted on some form.
For many, the guilt can remain and to remedy this, an apology is often issued in one form or another.
In some cases, an apology only adds to insult but I would say that sending and receiving an apology are not mutually connected in nature.
