Anthurium Pot Planting

Anthurium is lovely plant which can be very easily grown as a pot plant. There are hundreds of verities , just as orchids. But the most important factor is, it gives the flowers through out the entire year. These are some of the photo's taken from my moms garden. She grows anthurium and she has a collection of different verities such as red , white , orange , coca-cola , and a collection of bi-color anthurium types.

This is a anthurium plant grown in a plastic flower post. She use coconut husks and composts for the post mixture. And also mix them with some sand too. She do not use chemicals , but good sunlight and proper watering will always keep them healthy.

They are also known as flamingo flowers or pigtail plants and are definitely toxic. If they are eaten, you will experience a painful burning sensation in your mouth. You may develop blisters and swelling inside of your mouth. You may have difficulty swallowing and your voice may become horse.source
