This is the manual incubator that we bought. We bought this inorder to learn and get an idea how to incubate manually. We were the only ones who turned the eggs three times a day within nineteen days. After tenth and fifteenth days, the eggs were candling to find out if the eggs were okay to continue incubating or need to be removed. And after nineteenth days, we stopped turning the eggs until they are hatched.
Incubating heritage chicken eggs requires careful attention to temperature, humidity, and turning. After selecting healthy eggs, they should be stored pointed end down in an egg carton at room temperature for no more than 7 days before setting them in the incubator. The ideal temperature for incubating heritage chicken eggs is around 99.5°F (37.5°C), with a humidity level of 45-55%. Eggs should be turned at least three times a day to prevent the embryo from sticking to the shell membrane. After 21 days of incubation, chicks will begin to hatch. It's crucial to maintain stable conditions throughout the process to ensure a successful hatch and the health of the chicks.
And here it goes, the eggs that we incubated have hatched. We are happy that there were more eggs hatched than our expectations.
And gradually we moved the chicks to the lower portion of the incubator.
