This is our first batch of heritage chicks. These are the ones that hatch when we incubate. Twenty two of them hatched out of forty eggs that were incubated. We just bought the eggs from the neighboring barangay.
Our first batch of heritage chicks embodies the culmination of careful selection and dedication to preserving rare breeds. Each chick carries the legacy of its lineage, representing generations of resilient traits and unique characteristics. From the striking plumage to the distinct behavioral traits, these heritage chicks serve as a living testament to our commitment to biodiversity and traditional farming practices. As they embark on their journey, we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to nurture and care for them, ensuring they thrive and contribute to the rich tapestry of our farm's heritage.
After five days, we removed the rice hull to avoid them from getting too hot inorder to prevent heat stroke due to very hot weather.
