Exploring the heart of the ancient city of Perge, I strolled down the very same main street that the Apostle Paul once tread. Perge, located in Pamphylia along the southern coast of modern-day Turkey, was graced by Paul's presence on two occasions, as documented in the Bible (Acts 13:13-14; 14:25).
This historical site was a pivotal stop on Apostle Paul's inaugural missionary journey (Acts 13:13-14; Acts 14:25).
In the center of one of my photos, you can spot an ancient water conduit that meandered through the city's main street, providing a lifeline of water to its inhabitants.
My day spent in Perge was truly captivating. As I explored the ancient city, I captured a trove of photos and videos, immersing myself in the sights and sounds of an era nearly 2000 years ago. Walking through the well-preserved ruins, I could vividly picture the vibrant life that once thrived in this city.
Accessing Perge from Antalya is a breeze. You can hop on the tram bound for Expo, and from the Aksu station, it's just a leisurely 20-minute walk or a convenient taxi ride for 15 Lira.
