In the Dutch city of Amsterdam, demonstrations are taking place against the dystopian Dutch corona measures. After a protest march towards Westerpark, some of the demonstrators have now returned to Museumplein.
Earlier in the day, neo fascist mayor Halsema had issued an emergency order forcing people to leave the Museumplein. According to a spokesperson, that emergency order was in effect until the square was actually vacated. But even now there is still a lot of police.
A number of those present at the Museumplein right now were injured in confrontations with aggressive police officers, but it is unclear how many exactly. Arrests have also been made. Ten thousands of people were on their feet at the peak. Police officers were seen attacking protesters with batons and pushing them away, and demonstrators defended themselves by hitting police with their fists, as well as with banners. At one stage, even a drone was deployed, issuing a call for demonstrators to leave the area.
