I'm starting to feel much more confident with letting Grok write the lyrics for me. This song was an experiment that I wanted to do. I wanted to see how it would handle the concept of God, death, afterlife and faith.
So I asked it to write a song about a woman praying to God to save her husband. He was mortally wounded trying to protect her and the kids during a home invasion. Stabbed in the heart and slowly passing. Shes kneeling next to him in a desperate prayer for his life. If God won't save him she pleads to for him to let her husband into heaven since he was a loving and kind man.
This was the 9th generation attempt from Suno AI. It turned out very nice and has a contemporary Christian rock feel.
Give My Angel His Wings
[Verse 1]
In the dim light of dawn, I kneel here
By your side, my love, where shadows fear
Our breath, so faint, whispers of the night
I plead with the lord, for one more light
[Chorus]
Please, give my angel his wings
Oh Lord,If not for this world
Then for Heaven's accord
Let his heart beat anew, or set him free
In your divine grace, let him be
[Verse 2]
Blood on our floor, a testament to love
You fought for us, against the shadows of a dark glove
Now, I hold your hand, as your spirit wanes
My prayer ascends through tearful pains
[Chorus]
Please, give my angel his wings
Oh Lord,If not for this world
Then for Heaven's accord
Let his heart beat anew, or set him free
In your divine grace, let him be
[Bridge]
I trust in your judgment, I bow to your will
But please, oh please, let him not be still
If he must leave, then let it be with peace
But if you can, let this nightmare cease
[Verse 3]
As the sun pierces through our darkest day
A miracle unfolds, in such a sacred way
Your breath comes back, life in your eyes
God has answered, with love that defies
[Chorus 2]
YEAH, he gave my angel his wings
Oh Lord,Not for Heaven, but for this world restored
You've healed his heart, you've set him free
In your divine grace, give thanks to thee
[Outro]
In your mercy, in your light
You've given us back our night
With love that transcends
with faith that clings
You've given my angel back his wings
