Will AI Get Us There?

Will AI Get us THere.png

I am pretty sure, like the rest of us you are tiring of the incessant stream of posts and articles that are prevalent in the media both social and traditional.

Even here on the blockchain, we are not immune to the seductive lure of writing about AI.

In fact, some users have taken to using AI to write their posts which is not a practice I find palatable. If you were to do this and not state that it was AI that wrote the post then why not just post an image saying "Rewards please"

That is my personal view.

I do not want to talk about that. I want to talk about how we are being duped by AI. Or what big tech wants us to believe that their iteration of AI so eagerly put upon the public is.

A question. Have you used ChatGPT? Or other AI tools?

I have and was profoundly disappointed.

This is not AI!

Not the AI that I was sold through a solid reading and movie watching childhood.

What we have with ChatGPT is a Linguistic Learning Tool. It literally just takes your question, parses it into search terms then organises the answers semantically.

In other words, it uses the equivalent of Grammarly to calculate the next word in a sentence and returns the search datasets to you in a palatable form.

How disappointing.

Skynet is still a long way off.

I have use many AI tools to check them out (text, images, videos), they are impressive at first, but you can see the pattern of it after a while. We are not at the skynet level yet, but I am pretty sure it will come in time. Soon, a reply like this one could be done completely in AI 😅

They would have to advance a heck of a lot to be a reply like this one which is brimming with character.

It is exactly that, you recognise the pattern of the responses that come out. I mean, it is very well written which is probably a plus for most! 🙂

I had thought about that, AI writing for us instead of manually conveying your thoughts. AI's aide will indeed make writers do their job like a Pro especially if they want to maximize the benefits of SEO for making articles from outside the blockchain social media aside from writing blogs in blockchain social media.

So I guess that the cat was let out from the box and it is now unstoppable. It will be like a weapon and a useful tool for people and the only the difference will be the kind of people that will be using it with regards to writing hobbies, jobs, and works for whatever interest it will bring to the authors.

The cat is utterly out of the bag. When I first looked at the ones coming on the scene I was impressed at the fluidity of the text they generated. Then the more I looked the more I noticed a theme of blandness and lack of commitment to the facts presented.

I think it will be like a weapon, but the best weapons are wielded by those who know how to use them properly and I believe that the people who are currently authoring articles and blogs using AI will find any short term popularity will quickly be lost as they become one voice that sounds like many.

Yes the AI product is noticeable, it feels robotic especially for humans who have ability to sense things other than looking. So it will take a good amount of skill to fully maximize its benefits either for the good or bad reasons and purposes. That is why this world's dynamics had changed because of AI technology and I will not be surprised in the near future that machines will rule the world if it so happens that they became autonomous and physically create things, quite weird and scary.

I believe the same for the near future. This is only the beginnings and if we're think it looks incredible now what will it be like in twenty years?
