With some just couple of sessions to manage in the 2 weeks' time period, I try to make the most of it in the time that I have. At least my teacher says that I am a very committed student. For me fitness is very important. Though in the last few days that I am here in Mumbai I have been doing my fitness regime regularly but I have been falling short on taking care of my diet. It has gone haywire due to constant socializing with friends, going out for dinners. Last night I was not having a very good feeling about all of it and felt like I was going way beyond my own permitted limited and that I am unnecessarily increasing the toxicity in my body.
These short trips do impact my diet and lifestyle temporarily and then spending time with my loved ones is also important. I do try to avoid the junk food part but then a little bit still goes in my system. I fly back tomorrow to Muscat and though I am not very happy about it I feel it will be good for my body as it will get a break from all the junk food and I will be again able to get back to my healthy diet routines. Our body gives us all the signals when it is not functioning at its best and right now, I am getting those signals which I do not want to ignore at all.
Once I am gone, I am going to miss my Aerial Yoga fun as it's again going to be a long wait till I travel back to Mumbai as Muscat has no such classes. You see, there are pros and cons of being here and not being here. The day I come back permanently I am surely going to get set into a routine healthy lifestyle but as of now these short trips do mess up a lot of my diet part.
My Yoga class always has 2 parts one is we focus on building strength so more of aerobics with the linen and the other part is the Yoga poses which are more intense with the linen where there are flips, inversions, swaying around and challenging your body to function limitlessly.
This is what transpired from the classes last week.
For this particular pose, the first time I was very hesitant as I was fearing of slipping my foot but then the next day same pose I was much more confident. The concept is same here like the normal Yoga, slow and steady progress.
In this position I need to arch my back more which I have not been able to do it. With practice it will come through.
Here I have the fear of slipping and it shows on my posture, I have become still.
This is a regular closure pose, which I always enjoy doing, it gives a full stretch to the spine and the inversions are something that I enjoy, it makes me feel good in the head.
The best part of it is when I look at these pictures, I understand my constraints and then the next time I try to overcome them and allow myself to improve.
Fitness along with a good and healthy diet is very important for everyone and one must try to follow both these things on a daily basis for a healthy life.
