My favorite thing about Blurt is that they are willing to experiment.
But maybe we should create a separate front end for these experiments ?

I notice that Ads are displaying at both top and bottom of my blog.
Hopefully this is just temporary …
Although I thought contextual Ads might be a good way to earn some extra income for Blurt to buy up all the Blurt on all the exchanges I am starting to think that it’s a bad idea.

Experiments and especially Failed Experiments is how we learn stuff.
It is “Blurt” after all…. When you just “Blurt” stuff out you sometimes make mistakes.
I had seen an ad that appeared on my Blurt blog. But, now the ad is no longer visible.

I agree with you. Some users are very annoyed with ads. If ads are going to be implemented, there must be a Blurt frontend that doesn't have ads.
There are 3 or 4 other front ends without Ads. But I think Blurt.blog should probably not have Ads. Create a separate front end with Ads.

Most people hate Ads. Other people make Billions with Ads. I like well placed, well designed contextual, content related Ads myself.
This can be a basic reference for Blurt developers. It is very worrying that loyal users can switch to other platforms just because of advertisements. It's a good idea to do a little survey on Blurt to see this view.

If it is unavoidable and has become a necessity, what can you do? It's just that I hope the ads that are displayed do not interfere with the performance of Blurt. Although personally I do not really like ads in any form. And most importantly, I think Blurt will have a different direction going forward (that's just my personal opinion).
It is very "OK" to experiment. I guess some people needed a bigger heads up because they were surprised to see adds. A lot happens on Blurt in even one day, but one thing is clear is that this is our Blockchain. We all own it, we love Blurt. Personally I appreciate the work you do in promoting the beautiful social organism Blurt has become.
I think they should have done the experimenting behind the scenes on a test platform then present the results after 1 month …. Earned $1,000, bought Blurt off Probit, ionomy etc to redistribute as a Bonus to Blurt bloggers etc….

Everyone want to have ad free blog, but no one want to create alternate blog.
Free bread is easy to grab.
I didn't change the interface because of the announcements... Rather, it didn't allow me to publish, comment or vote... My internet in my country is horrible, I don't know what happened because it didn't run...
