Italian food

Hello everyone!
I'll tell you a bit more about Rome and the trip. As you know, I traveled with my family and my friend, we found cheap flights through WizzAir, the flight went smoothly, comfortably and quickly. As soon as we landed, the first thing we wanted to do was find a nice Italian restaurant to eat, and I can tell you that all the restaurants were beautiful, so the choice was very difficult, but we managed to find one and the food was delicious.

Even though all the restaurants were good, we still had to choose our favorite, and this one was it. The food here was absolutely amazing, I highly recommend this restaurant. Here's the name of the restaurant, if you're going to Rome and want to experience the full flavor of Italian pizza, then Mariuccia is a perfect choice. Of course, like any true Italian restaurant, this one also offers homemade pasta. They make their own pasta, which is completely different from what I'm used to, and it's definitely worth trying.

Don't be surprised when you get a pizza in Italy, all pizzas are very thin. That's how they were made in Naples, where pizza originated, with thin dough and simple ingredients. Another interesting fact is that pizza was actually first a food for the poor. Because of the simplicity of the ingredients and the thin dough, pizza was a cheap food for the poor classes. After that, it became globally popular.

I don't know about you, but for me, pizza was a symbol of Italy, but actually, it's pasta. Of course, I knew pasta was an Italian dish, but I didn't know it was their signature food. I learned that while I was in Rome, you could see people making fresh pasta everywhere you went. No restaurant would give you pasta with store-bought noodles, they would always make fresh pasta for you. Just like pizza, pasta was also a food for the poor, and it used to be eaten sweet, with honey and spices, and it was made by stomping on the dough with your feet.

Here you can see some beautiful layd making pasta🍝

Every Italian restaurant is beautiful inside, and it's all like a movie scene. They're all decorated in the Italian style, and you feel happy. I don't know if it's because of the pasta, because the carbohydrates in pasta release serotonin, which is the happiness hormone. I think it's a bit of everything. From the beautiful architecture to the food and the smiling, wonderful people, we felt amazing. We forgot all our problems and just enjoyed eating. Unfortunately, it didn't last long, but it was a trip to remember, and I'm grateful for that.

Besides all the delicious food, we had to indulge in something sweet. We found a lovely little cafe, completely by chance. We got caught in a rainstorm, so we went into the first cafe that had a free table. Luckily, the cafes are just as nice as the restaurants, all decorated in the Italian style. In this cafe, I ordered the safest thing, cheesecake, and I can tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. I've rarely eaten a cake this good. You can tell that Italians know what they're doing with food.
