Yesterday I took part in my 3rd ever mountain bike race. I participated in the 40 km race. The race is called the Bundu Bash, and took place in the middle of nowhere. This was organised by a small primary school, which has only 60 learners, mostly from surounding farms.
This was a real enjoyable event. There were not a lot of entries per race, but they did cater for a number of distaces and also had some trail runs.
I came in 8th on the 40km, some 8 minutes off the winning pace, although I was the first grand master.
We made it a short get away and stayed for the weekend, thus we had a nice brake from the city life.
I took this photo, just outside our room where we stayed for the weekend.
