Exploring Kenya: A Travel Diary
Today marked another adventurous journey through the heart of Kenya. As I embarked on a train ride, the scenic beauty of the landscape sparked contemplation about the marvels of app development and the dedication of Actifit's creators. The complexity behind crafting a fitness app and the relentless efforts of the developers inspired a moment of gratitude for their exceptional work.
The day commenced with a taxi ride, starting at 6 am from my rented place. En route to the Mariakani train station, a minor hiccup occurred as the taxi driver inadvertently took a wrong turn, leading us towards Mombasa. What followed was a series of curious maneuvers to get back on track, which I found to be a unique, if not slightly heart-pounding, experience - a testament to the unexpected twists one encounters during travel.
The train station embraced a security setup reminiscent of an airport, a familiar sight from previous visits. As the train departed, the landscape transitioned, unveiling the breathtaking expanse between Tsavo East and Tsavo West national parks, culminating in a passage through Nairobi National Park. The journey, teeming with wildlife sightings, showcased the vibrant greens of the rainy season, although the elusive elephants and lions remained hidden within the park's depths.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, settling into my accommodation was swiftly followed by a stroll to a nearby supermarket, offering a glimpse of the city's distinct chill compared to the coastal warmth of Mombasa.
As the day draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on this diverse experience, eagerly anticipating the culinary delights of Nairobi. Here's to an evening filled with warmth and adventure.
Wishing you all a splendid evening,
