Hello everyone π»,
Happy Sunday π and a very warm welcome to my report. It's a day of gratitude and appreciating all the good things in our lives π―.
For me it's been another ordinary day and it's now time to break down how my stepping went and also the trending stories that caught my eye π.
As always thank you for reading and let's take it away π¨.
I began my day with some stretching moves then went on with the usual house chores including laundry and cooking.
The afternoon saw me indoors checking out some YouTube videos and also trending news from around the world. There were also some thrilling EPL games.
My first and final walk was late afternoon heading into evening. I walked the area around London bridge and Tower Bridge before heading back home. It was cold but I was dressed appropriately.
With that out of the way, let's have a look at what was trending around the world.
Starting off in Gaza, nothing different, the bloodshed continued with 35 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes around the stripπΏ. Mostly residential areas are being targeted.
Not far off, more airstrikes in Lebanon. Israel targeting Hezbollah resources and positions. In the east Israel has issued new forced evacuation warnings in several areas in Baalbekπ. So more airstrikes expected.
Let's get into Europe, anti water pollution protesters marched in central London. There's anger at water companies that dispose of sewage in the rivers.
Water companies were privatized in the 90's and seems they are really misbehavingπΉ.
Moldova trending as they vote in a crucial presidential election that could decide if they lean towards the EU or Russia. Russia has been accused of interferenceπΉ.
In Spain, crowds hurled mud and insults at king Felipe and the PM as they visited flood hit townπΉ. They say the govt's response was so slow and inadequateπΏ.
Across the pond in the US, the campaigning still in high gear. Harris was in Michigan while Trump was in north Carolina.
Also trending, a new poll in the state of Iowa suggested that Harris is leading Trump by 3% in the traditionally republican stateπΉ.
We are just a few hours from finding out if the poll is rightπΉ.
Finally, Kenyans shone in the New York marathon. Taking first, second and third places in the women's race. Then coming second in the men'sπΉ. Congratulations π, well doneπ―π.
So I definitely wish everyone all the best as a new week unfolds. See you again tomorrow on an awesome Monday.
Stay safe, good night π΄ and Good bye β€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π».
Some pictures from around Tower Bridge, continuation coming tomorrow π²ππ²ππ¨π
