Hello everyone π»,
Happy Sunday π and a very warm welcome to my report. Hopefully your weekend is gone well as we jump into a new week. I hope we are all grateful and counting our blessings.
Let's quickly proceed to breakdown how the day has been including the trending stories. You definitely know the drill, come on π¨.
So I began my day with a little bit of stretching then I was out for a walk, actually getting groceries, short but nice walk
It was quite chilly and cloudy βοΈ as I made my way. The temps have dipped a little, winter is definitely on its way.
Later I was back indoors handling the usual house chores. Then settled down to some you tube videos and trending stories. A little bit of EPL games here and there, Liverpool are on fireπΉ.
My final walk was the slow paced sunset π walk around the neighborhood ending up at the park π².
So now let's turn our attention to the trending stories.
The nightmare in Gaza strip kept going, more airstrikes and a desperate search under the rubble looking for survivors after yesterday's major strikes in the northπ.The situation in the north remains direπΏ.
Not far off Lebanon trending as Israeli airstrikes targeted Hezbollah financier, Al-Qard Al-Hassan. An institution with over 30 branches around the country.
They are affiliated with Hezbollah, giving them interest free loans.
Israel sent warnings to people staying in close vicinity to leave immediately. Then airstrikes began in south Beirutπ.
In south Lebanon, airstrikes hit town of Khiam, more than a dozen airstrikes in the span of 30 minutes, using cluster bombs which are banned under international lawπ.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah fired up to 160 rockets π into Israel. Fires were seen in upper Galilee and a major road was closed as the rockets and projectiles were intercepted.
Still in Lebanon, UN peacekeeping force says an Israeli military bulldozer mowed down one of its observation tower and tore down part of their fenceπ.
In the other war, Ukraine says its airstrikes have hit key Russian explosives manufacturer.
Across the border, Moldova trending as they voted in a presidential election and referendum which will determine if they will work to join the EU or lean towards Russiaπ.
Exit polls show that the incumbent president is in the lead.
Across the pond in the US, the campaigning is on full steam. Trump was in Pennsylvania serving fries at a McDonald drive thruπΉ. Probably to poke fun at Kamala who says she once worked at a McDonald's.
Kamala on the other hand, attended churches in Atlanta, trying to woo black men.
Finally, some good news for Egypt, it has been declared malaria free by the WHO. A truly historic move and the culmination of nearly a century of work to stamp out the disease. Congratulations ππ.
So that's it from me today, see you again tomorrow on an awesome Monday. Until then stay safe, take care and cheerioβ€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π»π―
