TGiF 🍷🍻 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. The weekend is upon us yet again , I have had a great day. I am also truly grateful for it, it's a blessing to be alive 💯. I thank you all for stopping by yet again. Time to wrap things up and quickly take a look at how my day has been plus share some trending stories. Let's get rolling 💨.
So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. The sunshine and the fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. Then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto and youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fruits and veggies from the shopping centre. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹. Otherwise a quiet day.
On the continent, the warring sides in Sudan have agreed to a one day ceasefire starting tomorrow morning 🌞. Let's hope this one holds as essential items have to be distributed to vulnerable people including foods and medicines.
Globally, Ukraine trending as fighting intensified in the Donetsk region. The Ukrainian army keeping quiet on exactly what they are doing 😹. President Zelensky praised them for their efforts.
Over in the UK, former PM Boris Johnson will be stepping down as member of parliament triggering a by election🙀.This after an investigation found that he mislead or lied to parliament regarding the partygate scandal. During the pandemic when everyone was at home, he held parties at 10 Downing Street😹.
Across the pond in the US, former president Trump has been indicted on 37 felony counts detailed in unsealed court files.The indictment says Trump took secret documents related to nuclear and weapons program🙀. Let's hope he didn't share with his friend Putin😹.
In crypto news, there's a recent video of SEC chair, Gary Gensler saying cryptos are a scam, ponzi scheme and many other not so good things🙀. Turns out that in 2019, CZ turned down his request to join Binance as an advisor😹. That lawsuit against Binance is definitely personal.
Binance has earmarked $1 billion to face off with SEC in court, it's gonna take years 🙀. Meanwhile we await the ruling on the ripple case. This attack on cryptos will not yield much, what is apparent is that power will slowly shift from centralized systems to decentralized systems, plain and simple💯.
Finally in crazy weather, Canada is battling one of its worst wild fire 🔥 seasons. I have been writing about this for three days. Today firefighters from France, Portugal, Spain landed in to help put out some of those fires.
