Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. Hopefully you are enjoying or enjoyed your day. I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So today I had a wonderful brisk morning walk in the amazing fresh air. Then I was back indoors for a little bit of daily chores. Then later catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the mall for some food, nice sunny day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news and some you tube. I did enjoy the cool evening breeze 🍃 and beautiful sunset. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Ukraine trending as the rescue efforts continued in flooded area of Kherson. There was shelling going on amidst the evacuation🙀. There is also a big concern for mines that have been dislodged by the water. Today president Zelensky stopped by to see the extent of the damage first hand.
Shocking news from France as a deranged man stabbed four children and two adults at a playground🙀. Luckily no one died and they are all being treated for their injuries.
Saudi Arabia trending as US secretary of state Blinken, has held talks with Saudi foreign minister in Jeddah. A 2 state solution for Israel and Palestine seen as a way to reduce tension in the region.
Across the pond in the US, British prime minister Rishi Sunak was at the white house meeting his counterpart Biden. The war in Ukraine, the economy and AI were among issues discussed. I say it as if I was there😹.
Finally in crazy weather, air quality alerts have been issued in 15 US states due to hazardous smoke from wildfires from across in Quebec Canada 🙀. Then the hot temperatures across Asia are to lower the quantity of rice harvests, leading to shortages and higher prices🙀.
