Hello everyone π,
TGIF ππ and a very warm welcome to my world π. Its yet another 24 hours to be grateful for π―, We are literally a few minutes away from the brand new month of JulyπΉ. I have had a great day and as it draws to a close am raring to go with my stepping activities and also share what's trending in the media streets. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away π¨.
I kicked off the day with a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. It was a beautiful sunny π morning as I made my way. I did enjoy my walk and was back indoors an hour later. I then rested for a while, caught up with emails, watched the news and then the usual chores around the house.
My next stepping came later in the afternoon going to the shopping centre for some groceries. Still a beautiful sunny day as I made my way. It was nap time when I got back indoors, I woke up some time early evening and got on with the cooking, watching a little bit of news and youtube .Next came the evening or sunset walk, it looked like it would rain but it didn't and I made it back home safe and sound. Now let's quickly look at what has been trending in the news today.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept goingπΉ, the court has put on hold the controversial finance bill that was to be implemented starting tomorrowπΉ.
On the continent, the UN security council has voted to end Mali mission. The ruling junta has demanded the 13,000 peacekeepers to withdrawπ. They have been there since 2013.
In Europe, 45,000 extra police to be deployed in France after 3 nights of rioting. More than 900 people arrested as the riots spread to Marseille, Strasbourg, Lille π. Burnings and looting of shops reported in some areas. I think the killing of that boy has amplified the underlying problems in French society. The discrimination, the unemployment, the anger, frustration have all come out.
Across the pond in the US, the supreme court doing the most since yesterdayπΉ. Today the court blocked Biden's plan to cancel student loan debts for more than 40 million Americansπ. Biden had aimed to cancel $430 billion worth of student debt as promised during his campaign.
Down in Brazil, the supreme electoral court voted to bar former president Jair Bolsonaro running for office for 8 yearsπ. He has been found guilty of abusing his power ahead of the 2022 polls. His lawyers ready to appeal that verdict.
Finally, in crazy weather the US south from Arizona to Florida facing a heatwave with temperature upto 38 centigrade. In Mexico it's up to 50 degreesπ.
Please remember to check me out yet again tomorrow on an amazing Caturday with furry boy Bob βΊοΈ. Until then keep stepping and enjoying yourselves to the max π―.So that's all I got, stay safe, take care and good bye πππ Hakuna Matata.
