Hello everyone π,
Happy hump day ππ and a very warm welcome to my world π. It's the last Wednesday of June. Another wonderful and active day is fading away fast. Before bedtime π΄ let's quickly take a look at how my day has been and share some of the trending stories. Thank you for stopping by and lets dive in π¨.
I kicked off the day with a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. It was a drizzly morning as I made my way. A short walk that I enjoyed and then I was back indoors thirty minutes later. I then rested for a while, caught up with emails, watched the news and then the usual chores around the house.
My next stepping came later in the afternoon going to the city centre for some errands. A beautiful sunny π day had emerged as I made my way. It was nap time when I got back indoors, I woke up some time early evening and got on with the cooking, watching a little bit of news and youtube, checking out other hive posts.
Next came the evening or sunset walk, it looked like it would rain but it didn't and I made it back home safe and sound. Now let's quickly look at what has been trending in the news today.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept goingπΉ, today was a national holiday to celebrate Eid Al Adha or the feast of the sacrifice, π goat and sheep sellers had a great dayπΉ. Eid Mubarak if you are celebrating.
Speaking of Eid, Saudi Arabia trending as Mecca saw it's biggest pilgrimage in history with nearly two million people from all over the world in attendance π. The pandemic had shut everything down but this year was quite different.
Let's go to Europe, there was unrest and protests in France after police shot and killed a 17 year old in his carπ. From a leaked video he was shot at point blank range as he drove off. President Macron calling it unforgivable. Hopefully, the family gets justice for their lossπ―.
Across the pond in the US, president Biden launched his re election economic plan to spur growth and avoid a recession. He calls it BidenomicsπΉ, next year he will be facing off with Trump or another candidate in the elections, who knowπΉ.
Still in the US, 5 strange cases of domestically acquired malaria reported in Florida and Texasπ. Malaria had been declared eradicated since 1970.
Another strange occurrence in south Korea after millions of people became a year or two youngerπΉ as they scrapped the traditional age counting system, to follow the one the entire world follows. In south Korea, traditionally a person is deemed one year old at birthπΉ.
Finally in crazy weather, the Canadian wildfires are on againπ, forming hazy skies as far as US where hazardous air alerts have been issued. People urged to stay indoors in the affected areas.
So that was Wednesday and I wanna thank you for reading this far π. I truly appreciate your continued support π and love π. Sending back that love π and lots of blessings πΌπ to everyone.
See you again tomorrow on an amazing throwback Thursday βΊοΈ. Until then keep stepping and enjoying yourselves to the max π―.That's it for today, stay safe, take care and adios πππ. HAKUNA MATATAπ
